Kamakura Daibutsu (staying for 30 minutes).

The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a bronze statue of Amida Tathagata, located in the Kotoku-in Temple of Pure Land Buddhism in Kamakura's ancient capital. It is commonly known as the Great Buddha of Kamakura. It is the symbol of the ancient capital of Kamakura. Unlike the Great Buddha of Nara Todaiji Temple, which has undergone many repairs in later generations, the Great Buddha of Kamakura has maintained its original form, making it extremely valuable.

Minamoto Yoritomo established the first samurai regime in Kamakura - the Kamakura Shogunate (1192-1333). In 140 years, Kamakura, as the center of Japan at that time, experienced tremendous development in politics, economy, culture, and other aspects. During the Edo period, with the revival of shrines and temples, Kamakura gradually became a popular tourist destination in Japan (Please pay for your own tickets: 300 yen and inside the Great Buddha 50 yen).

[10:50]

Nagaya Station Enoden Experience (Approximately 15-20 minutes by foot from Nagaya Station)

Enoden is a tram that connects Fujisawa with Kamakura. The route covers most of Kamakura's famous attractions, and you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Shonan coast. As for Kamakura, the essential mode of transportation is the Enoden. The scene of a train speeding by is frequently featured in major Japanese films and animations. You can not only watch from a distance, but also experience the thrill of riding an Enoden yourself.

Changgu Station - In front of Kamakura High School, will be reached by Enoden. Be sure to follow the tour guide on the way to the tram. If you fall behind halfway, you are responsible for the consequences. This fee is a complimentary item and will not be refunded if you are unable to ride Enoden due to force majeure.

[11:00]

Kamakura High School (a 20-minute stay).

Kamakura High School is located in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is the prototype of Lingnan High School in "Slam Dunk"; the intersection not far from the station is the classic scene of Sakuragi Hanamichi greeting Akagi Haruko. Standing at the intersection, amidst the jingling of bells, you can also sense the passionate youth memories of Slam Dunk

Passing through Shonan Beach (with no stops)

The Shonan Beach is the love and affection of Sakuragi Hanamichi's love for Haruko as he slowly travels through the quaint streets of Kamakura, lying on the beach and listening to the sound of the waves rolling in, as he rides his motorbike and accelerates into the sea breeze.

[11:50]

Enoshima (about 110 minutes)

As for the original formation of Enoshima, it is said that in April of the 13th year of Emperor Chinmei's reign (552), sand began to gush out from the bottom of the sea and after 21 days, a sandy island was formed. During the Edo period, it became a popular sightseeing spot for people from Edo (now Tokyo). It has also been a venue for Kabuki actors.

Eshima Shrine

Eshima Shrine was established by Emperor Kinmei in 552 years. The annual sacrifice takes place in early April. The colorful wooden Eight-Armed Bensaiten Seated Statue in the shrine, the Hizen Kuni Fujiwara Masahiro Sword, the Octagonal Gazing Turtle, the Origin of Eshima, and the Bronze Torii Gate are all nationally designated cultural treasures. At the same time, Benzaiten is also the God of Wealth, and many worshipers and tourists come here. The money-laundering White Dragon King even claimed that washing coins in the water here can bring wealth.

[14:20]

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (a 70-minute stay)

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine was previously known as Kamakura Hachimangu Shrine. It was built during the Kamakura Shogunate period (1192-1867), the central belief and patron saint of warriors. It has a deep connection with the first shogun of Kamakura and is well-known in the Kanto area. The three major Hachimangu Shrines in Japan are the Ishikimizu Hachimangu Shrine in Kyoto, Usa Hachimangu Shrine in Oita Prefecture, and together they are referred to as the "three major Hachimangu Shrines.

Komachi Street

Komachi Street extending from Kamakura Station to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is a famous and lively old street in Kamakura. It has many shops on both sides of the street selling all kinds of small items. Kamakura has a wide range of souvenirs, Japanese handicrafts, and local delicacies, and is very popular among locals and tourists. Many of these restaurants are well-known gourmet restaurants listed on major website platforms and guide books. If you happen to come by, don't miss it.

Thank you for such a great tour. It was a great chance to explore places we wouldn’t ordinarily see along with knowing all of the logistics would be taken care of. Tourists can explore the locations with freedom to roam, explore and to look at the things that most interest them. I would recommend this to anyone and especially solo travellers. Thank you again!

Enjoyed a beautiful day in Kamakura. Visited the Inari Jinja shrine, a hike thru a woodsy area with amazing views of Yuigahama Beach, the Great Buddha, and Hasedera Temple. Enjoyed a Japanese style lunch at Hasedera Temple and street food on Komanchi street. Tour guide is a great guide. Very knowledgeable, with a great personality. The other party cancelled, so this became a private tour for us. A great start to our time in Japan! Would highly recommend this tour.
