Most mystical, powerful canyon I’ve seen. This was my second trip. Our guide was kind, extremely knowledgeable about Navajo history, very helpful in taking photos that came out great. There is a walk involving staircases and upward ramps so we felt it was a tough return. The first time I went, we just walked back through the canyon in the opposite direction: flat and relatively short compared to the up and over route in use now. I’m sure it was a Covid prevention measure. Makes perfect sense. It just should be mentioned in the booking materials. We are all activish mud 70s.
